Something Old, Something New.

I can't believe I've spent so much time away from my blog! With the holidays, a terrifying mountain of school work, and the general hub-bub of learning about seaweed, potty-training, and omega 3's (oh, what a few weeks it has been!), I've neglected to give myself time to do much reflecting. So now, we're two days deep in a blissfully blank new year, two days away from an equally clear new moon, and I've still not found a few extra minutes to do some looking back. Hopefully, when things mellow down, I'll find some memorable photos from 2010 and share them here. Until then, happy new year!

We left the year behind with such fun and noise; Gabriel got his first taste of cream soda, pickled ginger (I'm horribly mean), and pull-popping, glitter-clapping, streamer-shooting noisemakers. Because of the cold, my parents canceled their plans, so we decided not to set up the tent in the living room and invite them to our private party instead. We spent the night doing some serious dancing, teaching Gabriel how not to cheat at Parcheesi, and eating everything imaginable with chop sticks (baby quiche, coconut soup, and cream puffs- how else would you eat them?). Hopefully the year ahead yields just as many good times.
